Laura B. Klingensmith is Chief Administrative Officer of Health Associates, Inc. Laura works closely with employer groups, physician practices, individuals and families in obtaining health and other related benefits. Laura's background in healthcare has allowed her the experience to excel in helping companies and families obtain cost effective, appropriate and adequate insurance coverage. With a strong managed care, marketing and hospital background, Laura understands not only the agent, broker and sales components of the insurance industry but also the physician, hospital and provider elements. Combining the two experiences allows for a comprehensive approach in designing employee benefit plans. Consistently, Laura has prepared and designed benefit plans that bring substantial savings to the clients of Health Associates.

Laura has over ten years of sales, marketing and healthcare experience in the managed healthcare insurance, hospital and physician arenas. Laura is a former member of the Board of Directors for the City of Houston’s Well Workplace Well City initiative, former chairperson of the Marketing and Communications committee and former member of the board for Wellness Leasing Inc. Laura has been working with employers and individuals in obtaining medical insurance since 1996. She is a member of both the National and Houston Associations of Health Underwriters. She has been employed as the manager of business development for a national healthcare information technology firm and has experience as a sales agent with an accredited national healthcare insurance company.

Laura’s insurance and business development career began with her marketing and community relations work with a community hospital where she coordinated hospital sponsored city wide events, managed and organized speakers bureaus supervising the development and design of promotional materials for the hospital. During her tenure in healthcare and with each organization, Laura has been responsible for employee benefit plan design, marketing, event planning, and business development projects.

Laura earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Stephen Austin State University with a degree in Marketing. Laura is licensed as a Group I agent with the Texas Department of Insurance, Kansas Insurance Department and Missouri Department of Insurance.
